Girl with leukemia sells her paintings for cancer treatments

A 12-year-old girl with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) is selling her own paintings to raise funds for her cancer treatments.


Quiljade “Chin” A. Armas of Roxas City in Capiz province in Western Visayas was diagnosed in 2018 when she was in fourth grade.




Her story was also featured on news sites such as CNN.

According to www.cancer.org, AML starts in the bone marrow before it spreads to the blood. It sometimes also affects other parts of the body such as the liver, spleen, spinal cord, and brain.


On Facebook, Chin's mother Quila appealed for help, saying her daughter needs financial assistance for her chemo treatments and bone marrow aspiration test.
